What Is The Prognosis, And How Can We Cure It?

Prognosis

Prognosis is not a disease. Prognosis is the possible outcomes following a disease progression. It is the likelihood for a patient with a certain disease to recover. It is also the chance for a patient to achieve a cure which is usually described in percentage. We do not suffer from prognosis and do not require any treatment to heal from prognosis. All patients with any diseases will have their prognosis. Prognosis is made by a medical doctor who is treating your condition. Doctors will always discuss with you regarding the disease you are suffering. Remedies for prognosis by doctors are not needed, instead, discussion regarding the prognosis of a disease and treatment for that disease is needed.

The discussion with your doctor will include the causes of the disease, the nature of the disease, the triggers, the possible complications, the treatments, the symptoms, and also the prognosis. A good prognosis indicates that you have a high chance of recovery, while poor prognosis means that you have a low chance of recovery. Do not worry as poor prognosis does not always mean your life is over. It is just a scientific way of measuring the chances for you to recover. You shall not give up as doctors will always try their best to help you recover.

Chronic diseases like asthma, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension are lifelong diseases. Treatments are required to control the disease, the disease progression, and prevent any complications. No medication can help you achieve a cure from such diseases. Prognosis is such a disease is focusing on the disease progression and the chances for you to develop complications.

Hypertension is a chronic disease characterized by an elevated blood pressure of more than 140 for systolic blood pressure and/or more than 90 for diastolic blood pressure. Hypertension is similar to diabetes in the sense that both of them are chronic diseases and will never achieve a cure. Chronic disease means a disease that lasts for so many years and even for a lifetime.

Diabetes is a chronic disease whereby the blood sugar level is always high but the cells are not getting any. Hyperglycemia or high blood sugar refers to a high level of sugar beyond the healthy range in one’s blood. High levels of sugar in the blood for a long period may cause death and other complications such as stroke, heart attack, kidney damage, vision disturbances, and nerve problems. The sad fact is that the majority of diabetic patients are asymptomatic during the initial phase. Symptoms will come later as the disease progresses. The best way to detect any diseases especially diabetes is to go for regular health screening and medical checkups at least once a year.

Asthma is a chronic disease that can be managed by avoiding triggers and taking medications. Budesonide is one of the medications used by asthmatic patients. Asthma is a disease where your body reacts too much (beyond normal) towards the allergen. There’s a long list of allergens identified to trigger an asthma attack.

Most of the diseases can be managed well by modern medicine. Please have faith in doctors and medical treatments. Scientific-based treatments are currently the best option to help you recover or control any diseases. Medical professionals work hard to help you and the rest of the population. Remedies for prognosis by doctors are not needed, instead, discussion regarding the prognosis of a disease and treatment for that disease is needed.
